That evening we made a run to Lowes....the next day we sanded and painted out hearts out...and at a total of $65 we have this new addition to em's room : )

DIY
I have been wanting a dresser for emma's room for a long while. Her clothes were growing out of her little plastic storage containers with drawers (i don't really know what else to call them, but their real purpose is for a craft room or office.) Anyways last week we went on a hunt to some antique stores and this is what we found....
That evening we made a run to Lowes....the next day we sanded and painted out hearts out...and at a total of $65 we have this new addition to em's room : )

how cute! I can't believe the difference--it looks so good! Mitch's family has a dresser that they've painted about a dozen times to match kids' rooms. I love it! You were so smart to go to an antique store; good, solid furniture lasts so much longer than cheapo pressed-wood stuff!

ReplyDeleteWe are only going to be in Kansas for a very short time. We will get there Friday Feb 25th (at around 9pm) and then we will be leaving a couple days later on Sunday Feb 27th (at around 7:30pm) We are flying. We are doing a short trip because that's the only time Reid could go. :/ If he took any days of prior to the baby being born then he couldn't take any time off when the baby was being born. I wish I could stay longer but am grateful to go out there. Mom told us not to plan our trip when you guys are in town... not sure why... so we didn't. I also wanted to get out there and get back before it gets to close to the due date as this baby is already 2 1/2 lbs (as of last Thursday! She will either be huge or early...
