countdown.

I can't believe this semester is coming to an end! We leave in 2 days for our long trek to Kansas and I have mixed feelings. I am overwelmed with all the things that need to be done since we will be gone for 2 1/2 weeks, nervous for the 20 hour drive with Emma, and so EXCITED to see my family, especially my sister Meagan and her new little boy Coleton who is just a week older than Em!

I would also like to inform you all that Trevor and I were planning on a cruise with all of our friends this summer but Boise State is going to the Fiesta Bowl IN Arizona ON January 4th....who knows when this will happen again?! Sooooo....yes we bought tickets and will be making the trip, missing the first day of school, and will postpone our cruise for a couple years. I am slightly bummed but whenever Trev talks about going to the game it makes me so happy inside...he is so worth it. Plus it is a trip without Emma and that will be a nice little getaway.

The tickets arrived today at his mom's house (since we weren't sure when they would come) anyways he was SOOO excited, he had his mom send a picture of it. cute.

This is our little family's Christmas picture for our annual letter.

Christmas

Just sitting in the library procrastinating as usual. Thinking about going home to a wonderfully clean kitchen and making ginger bread cookies. mmmmmm... Then having a glass of hot chocolate and snuggling up on the couch with my little Em to watch a christmas movie, the Grinch to be exact.

I am so thankful to get to go home to Kansas for Christmas. I miss my family and all the fun we have during the Holidays. I miss playing in the snow with them, my mom's perfectly decorate Christmas tree, gathering around the piano to sing while my mom plays, and just seeing my brother and sisters.

I'm very excited to share some of my family's Christmas traditions with Trevor and Emma, it will be the first Christmas at the Sloop's for both of them!

Sorry to disappoint, no updated picture yet. Although I love my new hair cut, I am about to go exercise and then have a volleyball game tonight sooooooo tomorrow I will get one with it all done up!

Until then.....

...I don't think I am being bias when I say,

"She is the cutest baby I have ever seen."

Seriously.

It's time.

Tomorrow is the day. I finally talked trevor into letting me cut my hair and Emma is starting to pull my long hair out daily. It's time. I am so nervous!

Just can't get enough.

Oh Emma, I just can't get enough of her.

We were just sitting here on the couch and i heard a long rumble...you know what that means. Then it was followed by two more long rumbles. So I got up to change her diaper and what a lovely surprise, somehow she managed to get 3/4 of the mess out the tops and sides of her diaper and 1/4 of it inside. Sick. She must be a magician.
On a happier note, I just can't have enough pictures of this girl. She is so perfect.

Time Flies

Wow can you believe Emma is already a month and 8 days? I can't! Well my little sweet pea is becoming more life-like every day. She is still on her wonderful schedule of only waking up around 4am and then not again till 8. It is lovely. She smiles all the time and even tried to laugh once. So cute.

But the best thing is when she sneezes, never just once, and followed by a sigh.

We have also discovered her hair is getting curlier and curlier.

We have been busy cheering on Trev at his many events. He is a member of the cross country team and also head of the triathlons here on campus. He also plays on a rec league flag football team. We love to watch him! One of his most recent events was a golf scramble. Their team shot 6 under and tied for first. Sadly they lost by 1 on the shoot out.

Our little family.

Mr. Drew Jones.
It was intense.

The team.

Oh Trevor. How is he soooooo good at everything?
