DIY

I have been wanting a dresser for emma's room for a long while. Her clothes were growing out of her little plastic storage containers with drawers (i don't really know what else to call them, but their real purpose is for a craft room or office.) Anyways last week we went on a hunt to some antique stores and this is what we found....

an old beat up dresser with no knobs for $35...but i saw potential!

That evening we made a run to Lowes....the next day we sanded and painted out hearts out...and at a total of $65 we have this new addition to em's room : )

little sailor

i just cant believe how different emma is every day. she is starting to say SO many more words, some of her new ones include mam ma (grandma) pam pa (grandpa), ball, and more (as in more food please). i have started letting her feed herself which has been a challenge for me and wonderful for em. i have a problem of always wanting her to be clean and hair well done. letting her feed herself means letting her make a huge mess which sometimes includes mac and cheese in her hair. She is doing great and i am working on letting her be more independent.

my life is one huge amount of stress. byu-idaho decided to change how their classes are for el ed majors. this translates to possibly not being able to graduate in july and student teach in the fall. i have done EVERYTHING i can and talked to EVERYONE i can about working things out so i am not delayed. it might not seem like a big deal but we are living in pocatello for trevor to be in pharmacy school and my ONLY time to take my last semester of classes is this summer when we move back up to rexburg, otherwise i will probably have to wait another year to move to rexburg again next summer. ew, the more i think about that, i would rather not graduate. i really dislike living in rexburg and dislike moving even more. I mean it was great while i was a single college student and didn't need much but seriously...a 3o min. drive to get to the mall or even a super walmart...seriously?

anyways life is insane but we will get over it.

here is a picture em. this might be the cutest dress i have ever seen. (thanks to my mom for sending it)

Christmas

The Holidays have been crazy, to say the least. Trevor's parents house burned down the second weekend in December due to an electric heater tipping over. It is our turn to be with his family for christmas this year and luckily they were able to quickly find a rental home. Everything is starting to work out really well and thanks to Home Owners insurance they have plans to rebuild by the end of the summer.
Here are some pictures of our 3 1/2 week stay in Burley, Idaho.

We couldn't get Emma to crack a smile on Santa's lap...but at least she didn't cry!

Christmas Morning. Emma is sitting on her new chair from us.

Emma & I made a "gingerbread" house.

The week after christmas all the cousins were here...one decided to open the front door for Emma, and then shut it once she walked out. A few minutes later we realized she wasn't around...this is how we found her. ha.

Christmas Night we went to go see a light display....they had a live camel there! Em loved it.

I took pictures of all the grandchildren so that Trevor's mom could replace the ones she lost.

Most recent family picture!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
