Family Pictures 2015

Basically I'm a cheapskate. 

In the past 7 years of being married I have paid to get family pictures taken 1 time. Typically I just mess with a few settings and hand over my camera every year to anyone who is willing to come help us out and is FREE. aka a non professional and sometimes even someone who has never held a DSLR camera in their life.

 Let me tell you, when I got in the car this evening after pictures I was kind of regretting that choice. Drew was NOT having it tonight (he never is when it comes to pictures) and I was SURE we didn't get one single good picture. 

Thankfully I was wrong. 

But next year, you better believe I will be saving my pennies so someone else can deal with the stress.

Emma's 6th Birthday Party

Emma requested a "How To Train Your Dragon" Party a few weeks ago and I had no idea what to do. Luckily she made it easy by requesting, face painting, watching a movie, and most importantly a Dairy Queen ice cream cake. I added the idea of a pajama party and they sure had a blast! I

Unfortunately I can't get my phone pics to upload the pinata or up close face painting pics, but you can sti;; get the jist of how much fun they had!

Lake Powell {2015}

Between school, teaching, and extracurricular activities filling our time, I had long forgot about uploading our pictures from Lake Powell. 

Wayyyy back in July, which seems to be a lifetime ago, we spent a fabulous week there. 

Sand, sun, boating- it was everything we had been anticipating all summer long and these pictures are making me wish it could have lasted just a little bit longer.
